biggest cultural group in Sierra Leone in the year 2008 was that of the
Mel-speaking Temne tribes which is
made up of 35% of the total population. Next which is the Mande that is made up of 31% along with Mandingo which is 2%, have
music customs connected to Mande
populaces in the neighbouring countries. Other documented populaces were the
Lima that has 8%, 5% for Kono, 2% for
Loko and Sierra Leone Creole tribes
for 2%,. While 15% were documented as others.
