The
Lousian’s Cajun and Creole communities saw their indigenous music, which
becomes a brief mainstream trend during in the 50s. This was hugely due to the
composition of Clifton Chenier, who started his recording for Specialty Records
in the year 1955. He took the authentic Cajun and Creole music and added more
rudiments of the rock and roll; the rollicking sound, frenetic choral and
dance-able rhythm that resulted to a pattern known as the zydeco. Chenier
remained recording for more than thirty years, producing over a hundred albums
and making the way for the upcoming artists like Boozoo Chavis and Buckwheat
Zydeco.
