came with the rumba in the early 1930s, and it was accompanied with calypso in
the mid-40s, mambo that came in the late 40s and in the early 50s, chachacha
and charanga came in the mid-50s, bolero came during in the 50s and finally
boogaloo came in the mid-60s, while Latin music combined with jazz in the same
year, which result the Latin jazz and the bossa nova combination as cool jazz.
The
initial Mexican-Texas pop artist was Lydia Mendoza, who began recording in the
year 1934. This was not until in the 40s, however, that musica nortena became
supported by female duets such as Las Hermanas Mendoza and Carme y Laura, who
had a cord of local hits. The next year saw emergence of the Chelo Silva,
regarded as the Queen of the Mexican Bolero, who sang romantic pop songs.
The
50s saw further invention in the Mexican-Texan community, as the electric
guitar, drums and rudiments of rock and jazz were added into the conjunto.
Valeria Longoria was the initial main artist of conjunto, recognized for brining
Colombian cumbia and the Mexican rancerato conjunto ensembles. Later, Tony de
la Rosa improved the conjunto the big ensembles by adding the electric guitars,
amplified bajo sexton and a drum kit and gradually down the frenetic dance
rhythms of the pattern. During in the mid-50s, bandleader known as Isidro Lopez
used the accordion in his ensemble, thus starting the improvement of the Tejano
music. The rock-influenced Little Joes who was the first main artists of this
scene.
