The rock and heavy metal was brought by the American soldiers, and it was renowned in Saigon during the Vietnam War. This genre has established strongly in the South and it was also spread throughout the North area after emerge of Buc Tuong in the 90s. In the past 10 years, metal has become more popular in the country. Unlimited, Ngu Cung, Mictrowave, and the Black Infinity were the new top Vietnamese metal ensembles in the 21st century.
