Pop music of Vietnam

The embrace of the current pop music culture has grown, in each of the new generation of people in Vietnam has become more advance to and influenced by the westernized music couple with the fashion patterns of Japan, China, and South Korea. The musical production has advanced and spread over the years as visiting artists and organizers from other countries have assisted to stimulate the Vietnamese entertainment industry. Some of the acts include the international stages such as the Asia Music Festival in South Korea where renowned Vietnamese singers such as My Tam, Lam Truong, Ho Quynh, Ho Ngoc Ha and others have performed along with others singers from diverse Asia nations. In the recent periods such as 2006 and beyond, Vietnamese pop music has extremely advanced from the year past. Vietnamese music has been tried to reach to the audiences nationally and also internationally. There are many popular underground musicians include the following such as Big Daddy, Andree Right Hand, Shadow P (all featured in a renowned chant known as De anh duoc yeu) and countless others who have risen to popularity through the web. In addition, there are also other singers that have gone mainstream such as bao Thy, Wanbi Tuan, M4U, Ho Ngoc Ha, Khong Tu Quynh and Radio Ensemble. There are also upcoming singers whose chants have been hits in the Vietnam like Thy Chi. These singers try to see singing as a hobby, therefore not being labeled as a mainstream musician, the general quality of the recording and the pattern of music video in Vietnam which has advanced compare to the past eras based on many private productions and also foreign Vietnamese arriving in producing a mixture of the western and Vietnamese music.
