Blerim Rrustemi was born on the 4th February 1983 in Vucitm, SFR Yugoslavia. He is a footballer from Albania. He plays the role of a defensive midfielder for his club, SSVg Velbert though he played for Alki Larnaca as a defender. He is a member of the Albanian national team.

Club Career
As a teenager, he attended and played football for Weston Collegiate institute high school in Toronto, Canada. When he was in Toronto, he played football for CS Azurri in the 1999/2000 season and he played for Toronto Supra in the 2000/01 season, and they are the both team of the Canadian Professional Soccer league. He has also played for various Albanian football clubs in Toronto.
He relocated to Southern part of America and played for Portuguesa of Brazil in the 2001/02 season and he played for Defensor Sporting of Uruguay from the year 2002 to the year 2004.
He returned to Europe and went to Germany and played for amateur teams, Borussia Mönchengladbach II and Rot-Weiß Erfurt from the year 2004 to the year 2008 and then he went to Denmark and played for AC Horsen for some months. He played for Alki Larnaca of the Cyprus first division in the 2008/09 season and played for KS Vllaznia from the year 2009.
International Career
Though he is ethnic Kosovo, he decided to play for the Albanian national team. He played his first match for the country in the friendly match that was played against England B team.
