Ahmed Januzi

Ahmed januzi was born on the 8th July 1988 in Vucitrn. He is a professional footballer from Albania. He is currently playing for FC Vorskla Poltava in Ukrainian Premier league. He is also a member of the Albanian national team.

Club Career

Januzi was born in Vucitrn to parents from Kosovar Albania. He grew up in the same town and joined a club in the city, KF Kosova Vushtrri. When he turned 19, he joined the Albanian superliga side, KS Besa Kavajë as a senior player in the club. 

Januzi played half of the season in the club in his country. He played thirty games for the club and scored 7 goals for them. In the winter break, januzi made a move to Vorskla Poltava in February 2007.

Januzi played his first game for the club on the 7th March 2007, which is a match that was played against FC Shakhtar Donetsk at the Donbass Arena. He was brought into the game in the 59th minute of the match and he scored on the 90th minute of the game. In that season, Januzi played 9 league games for the club, and he only started 2 of the games that he played for the club. His club finished in the 13th position at the end of the season. 

In the 2007/08 season, he played 23 matches for the club starting just 2 games for the club, he scored his second goal for the club in an away match that was played against Karpaty Lviv and he produced three assists, the club finished in the 8th position of the league that season. 

In the 2008/09 season, Januzi played a more important function in the club, he started 6 matches and played 20 games for the club. He scored his first goal of the tournament for the club on the 18th July 2008 in the 72nd minute of the game that was played away to FC Kharkiv and he scored his second goal of the tournament in a match that was played against Metalurg Donetsk that season. Januzi also gave 3 assists for the club. He helped his club to get to the finals of the Ukrainian Cup, which his club, Vorskla won 1-0 against Shakhtar Donetsk. He helped his club to get to the 5th position of the league table in that season, and that secured them in the play-off round of the UEFA Europa League for the 2009/10 season. 

In the following season, Januzi began in 8 games and played 24 matches for the club. He scored two goals for the club against a particular club, Metalurg Donetsk both at home and away. He made 2 assists for the club. 

In the 2010/11 season, he became a more regular starter of match for the club. He started in 13 matches for the club and played 21 matches for the club that season, he scored 8 goals and made 2 assists for the club, and he was a crucial member of the club towards the end of the season. Vorskla and Tavriya Simferopol were both equal in the 6th and the 7th place on the league table. 

In the 2011/12 season, Januzi began 11 games for the club and played the total of 18 matches for the club. He score a goal and made an assist for the club that season. 

He has helped the club to get to the final qualification round of the UEFA Europa league by bagging three goals in a match that was played against Glentoran F.C home and away. In the final qualification round of the competition, he scored a goal against FC Dinamo Bucuresti and that led to Vorskla getting to the group stage of the UEFA Europea league for the first time in the history of the football career. For the first match in the group stage of the competition, Januzi did not score any goal, though he made an assits in a match that was played against Hannover 96
