demolished the records. However, Kuwait has engaged an important music
industry, both long before the war and after the war. Music of Kuwaiti reflects
the difference of many peoples in the custom of Kuwait, including Indian and
Swahili music.

Kuwait
is known as the center, alongside with Bahrain for sawt, a bluesy pattern of music
that is made popular in the 1970s by Shadi al Khaleej (the bird song of the
gulf). The most renowned modern sawt artists include Nabeel Shoail and Abdallah
Al Rowaished, who influenced the techno and Europop in their music; the artists
of Kuwaiti swat are popular throughout the Gulf area. Other renowned groups
include the long-running Guitara band and Al-Budoor band.
