traditional song is composed by people who are known as te kainkamaen. These
composers are said to get their music from myth or magic, it is a belief that
is said to be passed from father to son. After the composition, a group known
as rurubene sings the song to the composer and after then it is made publicly
and it is sang by any person; at this time, the song is considered blessed
(mamirak).
