and ska music. Mento normally features acoustic instruments like banjo, hand
drum, acoustic guitar and the rhumba box a large mbira in the shape of a box
that can be sat on while playing. The rhumba box contains the bass part of the music;
Lord Flea and Count Lasher are two of the more successful mento musicians,
mento is often mistake with the calypso, a musical form from the Trinidad and
Tobago.
