pop music is often called Indipop or Indi-pop, is based on an amalgamation of
the Indian traditional and classical music and current beats from diverse parts
of the world. Pop music really began in the South Asian area with the popular
playback singer Ahmed Rushdi’d song Ko Ko Korina in the year 1966.

After
that, much of Indian Pop music comes from the Indian Film Industry and until
the 1990s; few singers such as Sharon Prabhakar, Peenaz and Usha Uthup outside
it were famous. Since then, pop singers in the latter orchestra have included
KK, Baba Sehgal, Alisha Chinai, Shantanu Mukherjee aka Shaan, Sagarika,
