A kebero is a double-headed, conical hand drum that is used in the traditional music of Eritrea and Ethiopia. A piece of animal hide is outspread over each end of the instrument, thus forming a membranophone. A larger version of the musical instrument is also performed in the Orthodox Christian liturgical music, while the smaller version of the musical instrument is used in secular celebrations.
