Jaime Torres was born on the 21st September 1938. He is an argentine musician and the son of Bolivian immigrant and a world popular interpreter of the charango. He was the disciple of Mauro Nunez, a Bolivian musician and a luthier that built his first musical instruments.

In the year, Jaime Torres together with his band took part in the opening ceremony of the World Cup in Germany. A year later, Jaime Torres arranged a local meeting of the musical instrumentalist, and repeated the same experience with the children in the year 1980. In the year 1988, Jaime Torres composed the music for the movie called La deudainterna that was selected for the Oscar.
In the year 1964, he took part in the recording of the MisaCriolla with the Ariel Ramirez and in the year 1965, he made his first travel to Europe.
