He is a writer of novels, short stories, audio plays and poems in the
German language.
Wolfgang Kauer was born in the city of Linz and it was there that he
attended Adalbert-Stifter-Gymnasium and he
graduated in the year 1975. He did his undergraduate studies in the German
Philology, Geography and Arts in the city of Linz and Salzburg.
Wolfgang Kauer worked as a freelance journalist and a teacher in the city
of Linz. He is currently residing in the city of Salzburg and he is teaching at
the grammar school and the German Literature and Philology at the Linz Private
Art University and also works as a free writer; Wolfgang Kauer writes prose,
short stories, novels, lyric poetry and audio plays.
Wolfgang Kauer took part in the competition between authors Salzburger
Autorengruppe, and was given the award of the world famous Viennese author, to
be the best author of the city of Salzburg in the year 2010.
