Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach was born on the 13th September 1830; she died on the 12th March 1916. She was an Austrian writer popular for the excellent psychological novels she wrote. She is seen as one of the most crucial writer of the country with the use of the German language in the 19th century.

Biography
Marie von Ebner-Eschenbach was born in the castle of the catholic Dubsky noble family in Zdislavice. She was the daughter o Baron Dubsky and the wife Maria. She lost the mother when she was a kid but was brought up in a good way by the two stepmothers.
She got married to the cousin, the Austrian captain and a marshal Moritz von Ebner-Eschenbach and they stayed in the city of Vienna for the first time and then they moved to Louka. After the year 1860, they moved back to the city of Vienna. The marriage was childless.
Marie started putting her time in the literature of the country. She got help from Franz Grillparzer and Freiherr von Münch-Bellinghausen. The first work she did was the drama called Maria Stuart in Scotland that was produced by Philipp Eduard Devrient at the theatre of the country called Karlsruhe theatre in the year 1860.
She turned to narrative after some unsuccessful drama works. She started with Die Prinzessin von Banalien in the year 1872.
Marie died in the city of Vienna, Austria-Hungary on the 12th March 1916.
