Karl Merkatz was born on the 17th November 1930 in the city of
Wiener Neustadt; he is an Austrian actor. He took part in many movie plays and
productions in the country.

Karl Merkatz is the son of a fire fighter, he at first had the intentions
of becoming a carpenter after the World War II, he was active in the Boy Scout
in the city of Wiener Neustadt. He started acting lessons in the city of
Salzburg, Vienna and in Zurich and he got some employments in the theatres,
most notably in the city of Munich, Salzburg, Hamburg and in the city of
Vienna.
At the time of his later career, Karl Merkatz performed in many TV and
motion pictures of the country.
Karl Merkatz has been the chairman of the Human Rights group of the
country called SOS
Mitmensch since 1999.
