August 1872; he died on the 26th March 1925. He was a prolific
writer of the country, Austria and also a journalist.

He is the son of stockbroker Arnold (Samuel Aron)
Bettauer from Lemberg (Lviv) and his wife Anna (née Wecker) he had two sisters
called Hermine (Michi) and Mathilde.
Hugo Bettauer was killed by a Nazi
party follower on the note of his complicating views.
The books he wrote was the best seller of the 1920s and most of his works
were put into the movies of the country.
