1944; he is an Austrian actor. He most popular for the work he did with Luchino
Visconti, especially in his role as the King Ludwig II of Bavaria in Ludwig for
which he got a special David di Donatello award.

Helmut Berger was born in Bad Ischl, Austria into a family of horeliers,
for which he remains persona no grata. At first he trained and worked in this
field, even though he never had any interest in gastronomy or the hospitality
industry. He moved to London at the age of 8, and it was there that he did
odd-jobs while he was receiving lessons on acting. He moved to the city of Rome
after studying languages in the city of Perugia.
In the year 1964, Helmut Berger first met with the director called
Luchino Visconti, who handed him his first acting role in the film called Le
Streghe, though his international fame came from the role he played in the
movie called The Damned in the year 1969.
Helmut Berger has worked in TV, famously in the role of Peter De Vilbis
in nine episodes 1983 to 1984 of the American Prime-time soap opera Dynasty
that he did for money.
Helmut Berger is openly bisexual. He was in a long-term relationship with
Visconti and he was in a relationship with Marisa Berenson and was also
romantically linked with Bianca Jagger, Nathalie Delon, and
Marisa Mell. Helmut Berger married the Italian writer called Francesca Guidato
on November 19, 1994, though they are separated.
