Georg Franz Danzer

Georg Franz Danzer was born on the 7^th October 1946 in the city of Vienna. He died on the 21^st June 207 in Asperhofen, Lower Austria. He was an Austrian singer-songwriter. Though he is acknowledged to be one of the pioneers of the pop music of the country popular are his comic music Jo schau and Hupf in Gatsch, both in the city of Vienna, he usually rejects to be part of the music genre.

Georg Franz Danzer was successful as a solo musician of the country but also in the music group called Austria2 together with Wolfgang Ambros and Rainhard Fendrich.

Apart from music, he also translated book from the Spanish to the German language and was always attached to the highlight of the social inequalities and was a great opposition to racism and any kind of societal discrimination.

He stopped smoking after he confirmed he has lung cancer but still died of the disease. His legacy consists of some 400 songs.
