Gary John McKay was born in the year 1947; he is an Australian writer and the former Army officer of the country. He was given the award of the Military Cross while serving with the 4th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment at the time of the Vietnam War and later he served as the Commanding officer of the 8th/9th Battalion, Royal Australian Regiment between the year 1988 and the year 1990.
Gary John McKay wrote his first book called In Good Company in the year 1983. Some of his other books are; Delta Four: Australian Riflemen in Vietnam and Tracy.
