Arthur Groom was born on the 11th December 1904; he died on
the 14th November 1953. He was an Australian writer, journalist, a
photographer and a conservationist. He was the son of Authur Champion Groom.

Career
Arthur Groom was raised on the cattle station Rosabelle
Downs in Queensland, Australia and worked as a jackaroo and a journalist. He went
to the city of Brisbane in the year 1926 to write for the Sunday Mail. In the
year 1930, Arthur Groom became the
first honorary secretary of the National Park Association of Queensland and was
serving in the promotion of the national parks and protection of the
environment till he died.
Arthur Groom visited the central Australian and the Hermannsburg Mission
in the year 1946 and 1947 and he wrote of his experiences in the book called I Saw a Strange Land.
Arthur Groom died in the city of Melbourne in the year 1953.
