Biography
Sergio Renán was born with the name Samuel Kohan in Buenos Aires region
of Argentina. His parents were Jewish immigrants who resided in the one of the
many Jewish agricultural colonies in Entre Rios region of the country.
Sergio Renán became a good player of the musical instrument called violin
when he was a kid, with the minor role he played in the drama of the year 1951
called Pasó en mi barrio, Sergio Renán joined the theatre of the country as an actor and kept on
making appearances in supporting roles in the cinema of the country.
He directed his first movie on the stage in the year 1970, with the
production called The Maids by Jean Genet.
