Biography
Ricardo Piglia was born in Adrogue and was raised in Mar del Plata, and
it was there that he went to live in the year 1955 after the fall of Juan
Peron, who got the support of his father. Ricardo Piglia studied History in the
University of La Plata. He worked in many publishing houses in Buenos Aires and
was in control of the series Negra that published the popular authors of crime
fiction including Dashiell Hammett, Raymond Chandler,
David Goodis and Horace McCoy.
Ricardo Piglia is popular for his fiction and his several collections of
short stories.
Ricardo Piglia has lived in United States for a long time and there he
was a teacher of the Latin American Literature at Princeton University.
