journalist and also a politician.

Miguel Cané was born in Montevideo, Uruguay where his family was exiled.
At the age of two, Miguel Cané relocated to Argentina after the fall of Juan
Manuel de Rosas. When he completed his studies, he worked as a journalist.
Miguel Cané held many political offices in the country notably the
Argentine minister of external affairs and of the interior. He was also the
provincial and national deputy and Mayor of the city of Buenos Aires. Miguel
Cané was also a diplomat serving in France, Venezuela and also in Colombia. He
worked with the Argentine Senate between the year 1898 and the year 1905 for
Buenos Aires.
