Maria Teresa Andruetto was born on the 26th January 1954. He
is an argentine writer. She has written nomerous poems, dramas, novels and
children’s book. For the last contribution she made in the world of literature,
she got the award of the biennial Hans Christian Andersen Medal
in the year 2012.

Maria Teresa Andruetto was born in Arroyo Cabral, Argentina to the
parents of Piedmontese Italian descent.Maria Teresa Andruetto spent her childhood in
the town called Oliva, Córdoba. She is trained to be a teacher and she
has served in both primary and secondary schools. She is happily married with
two children and they reside in the area of the Sierras de Córdoba.
In the year 1993, Maria Teresa Andruetto gained the award of
the Luis de Tejeda because of her narrative.
She gained the FondoNacional de lasArtes in the year 20032 and she was
also the finalist for the award of the RómuloGallegos in the year 2011
for her novel called Lengua Madre.
The biennal Hans
Christian Andersen Award that is given by the International Board on Books for
Young People is the biggest recognition that is available to the writers and
illustrators of children’s book. Maria
Teresa Andruetto won the award in the year 2012.
