Héctor Echavarría

Héctor Echavarría was born on the 6^th December 1969. He is an argentine kickboxer, martial art master, a fitness guru, a filmmaker and an actor. Apart from being the world champion of kickboxing for several years, Héctor Echavarría also had a long career in the movie industry of the country. Currently he is active in the Hollywood.

Biography

In his native country, HéctorEchavarría was a sickly child who suffered from asthma. He was encouraged by his parents to engage in the use of martial art to overcome his handicap. He stated training at the age of 4 by studying Tai Chi Chuan and Chinese boxing under a Shaolin Monk, Grand Master Tung KuoTsao.

At the age of 13, HéctorEchavarría had learned Judo and JiuJitsu under Mayamoto of the Kodokan. He learned Karate as a teenager and also learned Tae Kwon Do. He was the youngest kickboxer to enter the ring as a professional at that time.

He was inducted to the hall of fame for Martial Arts of the United Stated in the year 2000.

He was named the Full Contact Fighter of the Year 2000 and currently the Vale-Tudo Kickboxing Champion of the World.

HéctorEchavarría has won the World Chapiontitleboth in the US Karate Association and the World Kong-Fu Association and has been undefeated in 11 world kickboxing bouts.

HéctorEchavarría is a Kung-Fu Master and has gotten to the following levels7th dan Karate Shury-ryu, 7th danKenpo Karate, 5th dan Tae Kwon Do, 2nddan Jujitsu, 2nd dan Judo.

He trained and thrived under the guidance of Grand Master Robert Trias when he went to the United States.

Movie Career

After a chance to meet with Miami Vice Publicist Carole Myers, HéctorEchavarría was asked if he had the intentions of acting. She got a TV audition for him and HéctorEchavarría was seen in the season premiere of the year 1988 called Down for the Count. He was seen in a TV demonstration a few years later by an argentine producer and he appeared in Los Extermineitors.

HéctorEchavarríap,ayed a major role in the TV series called Brigada Cola.

HéctorEchavarría filmed a feature called Death Warrior in Toronto, on the April of the year 2009. It was produced by Sean Buckley of Buck Productions under the direction ofBill Corcoran. The movie was marketed and distributed by Lions Gate Entertainment and Grindstone Entertainment.

He has produced many movies and features in the country. In the year 2013, HéctorEchavarría was the director of Chavez Cage of Glory, together with Danny Trejo and Steven Bauer. He was the director of No Way Out in the year 2014.

He helped many people to start their movie career in the country and currently, HéctorEchavarría is working with a writer and a producer called Ronald Shusett.
