She was the person the represented her country in the 2005 Eurovision Song
Contest in Kiev, Ukraine.

Marian van de Wal is originally from Netherlands. She entered Eurocasting
in the year 2005 and was one of the three people that got to the finals and was
selected to go to the national finals of the country. On the 18th
December 2004, in Andorran la Vella, Marian van de Wal won the right to sing
for the country, Andorra over Mar Capdevila and Ishtar Ruiz. In Sant Julia de
Loria, in the year 2005, she sang three possible music to represent Andorra anf
one of the music was to chosen by a mix of SMS vote and a professional jury.
The three music she sang were; "No Demanis (Don't
ask)", "Dóna'm La Pau (Give Me Peace)", and "La mirada
interior (The Inner Glance)".
Marian van de Wal failed to get to the finals of the competition, and at
that time, she was accompanied by backing vocals from Anabel Conde, who
completed in the 2nd place for Spain at the 1995 Contest. She
announced the votes for the people of Andorra for RTVA at the Eurovision final
of the year 2007.
