Mohamed Kheddis was born on the 29th February 1952; he died on
the 26th August 2008. He was an Algerian international football
player. He played the role of a central defender for the Algerian national
team. He was part of the Algerian national team that played in the 1980 Summer
Olympics and he took part in the qualification process of the country in the
1982 FIFA World Cup. He died from a heart attack. His son, Sid Ahmed Kheddis is
presently playing for N.A Hussein Dey.

International Career
In January 1980, Kheddis was a member of the Algerian national team that
played at the 1980 African Cup of Nations in Nigeria. He started all the five
matches that was played by his country in the competition and assisted his team
to get to the finals of the competition for the first time in the history of
the nation’s football. Meanwhile, they lost 3-0 to the host country in the
finals. Later that year, he was selected to be among the Algerian national team
that played in the 1980 Summer Olympics in Moscow, Soviet Union. He played
three of the four matches that were played by the country in the competition.
