Marie Logoreci

Marie Logoreci was born on the 23^rd September 1920 and she died on the 19^th June 1988. She was a singer and a movie actress from Albania. She took part in the first films and drama of the country. She has was seen in many films of the country like Skanderbeg, Femijet e saj, Toka jone, etc. she is also popular for heracting on the TV, like the recurring appearance she made on the TV show called Gjenerali i Ushtrise se Vdekur. She was very prominent on the stage drama and that was because of the superior acting skills that she has.

For the contribution she made in the movie of the country she has been given the highest recognition medal from the government of the country, the People’s Artist of the country award.

Early Life

Marie was born in Shkoder, Albania. Her father Palok Cucija was a craftsman and the mother Roza was just a housewife. Since she was a child, she has been known with the nickname, Tush. And she was introduced to home financial hardship and the social dramas early of that period also showed well in her family also. She was a good child, very chubby and so friendly with her age groups. She was growing up and soon she was emnrolled as Stigmatine Sister School of Shkoder, a girls’ school where religious classes were included in the program of the school.

Soon after, Marie joined the gymnasium. She was gifted at the drawing and singing. At the time of her singing, she began to accompany herself with the use of a mandolin or a guitar. She was like she like much less math and religious classes. 20 drawings still bear her name. she learned Italian and Montenegrin as a kid.

What used to trace the soul of the youngster then were the popular narrations, egends and epic music of the Northern part of the country, which she heard in the family. The idea and knowledge she gained about the folklore and the ethnography of the country that soon became her passion.

When she turned 17, she permanently moved to Tirana, it was there that she got married with an economist called Kol Logoreci, who came back then just from his studies in Vienna.

Artistic Life

Marie’s artistic life started as a musician for the Radio Tirana in the year 1945, and itr was there that she sang solo, she sang directly into the microphone, and she sang folk music of Shkoder and middle Albanian folk music. She attended a year study of Canto at the artistic lyceum at Tirana under the guidance of Jorgjie truja, The People’s Artist of the country. She also was seen in some other concerts in the city, Tirana. She sang over 100 music in the radio from the year 1945 to the year 1947.

Stage Acting

In the year 1947, she was the leading music player with the national chorus giving tour concert in the country and outside the country. In that same year she was offered a deal of plying in the drama as a leading actress of the drama in the national theatre of the country. As an actress on the stage, she occupied a vast gallery of great characters and that is the manner of acting is masterful, also the way she expressed and manifested them are great. The range of her function in the movie is good and wide enough to compromise the behavior of an opponent in psychology and in mould.  She has participated in more than 40 dramas. All her demonstrations of the Shakespeare’s drama, of Molière's drama, of Lorca's drama, and/or Gorky's dramas, and also the authors from her country al showed her skills and all of the portrayed her to the public as an artist of individuality and reflects harmony between her performance and her external plastics.

Movie Actress

Marie was one of the pioneers of the movie in the country. She had a role in the first movie of the country, a short feature movie of approximately 12 minutes long that was manufactured by the Albanian Film Studio and TV of the country. Her function in the movie showed their particularity and has their value in the history of cinematography in the country. The first crucial film she acted in was the Skanderbeg, and the most remarkable role that she has played in film was the role of Loke in the movie called Toka Jone.
