Xhevair Kapllani was born on the 21st June 1974. He is a retired goalkeeper from Albania. He is the elder brother to Edmond Kapllani , who is also a footballer that is playing the role of a striker for his club, FSV Frankfurt and also his country. 
He has appeared for the national team of the country for five matches. He has played football for the following team; KS Teuta Durrës, KS Lushnja, KS Dinamo Tiranë, KF Partizani TiranëKS,, Luftëtari Gjirokastër, KF Erzeni Shijak, FK Baskimi and  KS Besa Kavajë
