African Rumba or soukos is extremely related with the Democratic Republic of the Congo but its fame has inspired Zimbabwe’s own brand or rumba in artists such as Leonard Karikoga Zhakata and Simon Chimbetu. Soukos has been an influence on other musicians like the R.U.N.N family. Presently, Zimbabwean rumba is more renowned than foreign rumba.
