Marina Golbahari is
an actress from Afghanistan that gained international popularity for her
function as the title character in the movie acted in 2003 called Osama, the
played as a girl that had to dress and perform as a boy to upkeep her family
during the Taliban years.

She was cast as Osama
by her country film director Saddiq Barmak. The film went on to gain an award
of the golden globe and as the best foreign film. Marina’s work in the movies
was taken by several critics, including The Arizona Republic’s Richard Nelsin
that wrote ‘There is jo short coming in the performance of Marina’.
Marina featured
prominently in the movie called Shakespeare in Kabul, by Qais Akbar Omar and
