usually Venezuelan music is known as joropo, a rural type which derived in the
llanos, or plains, this musical llanera was established by a prolific musicians
such as Juan Vicent Torrelba, Angel Custodio Loyola, and Ignacio Figueredo, who
assisted to promote the music all over the country. Since then slick, current
type of pop llanera has established which has made the scorn of some purists
who observe it as stale and watered-down. Some singers such as Reynaldo Armas
and Simon Diaz have gained a big supports over the years. In the same vein,
there is also neo-legend, which takes the folk music and arranges it in
electronic pattern.
