Burim Kukeli was born on 16th January 1984. He is a professional footballer from Albania. He is presently playing the role of a midfielder for his club, FC Zurich in the Swiss Super League. He is also a member of the Albanian national team.
Career
Kukeli was born in Gjokova, SAP Kosovo, SR Serbia, SFR Yugoslavia, though he made a move to Switxerland together with his family when he was 4.
In April 2012, he joined his former club Rolf Fringer at FC Zurich in the summer of that year.

International Career
Kukeli got an invitation from the coach of the national team, Gianni De Biasi in May 2012 to take part in the friendly match that will played against Qatar and Iran, but he did not honor the invitation, because he was too tired at the time of the invitation and needed to rest after the end of the season, meanwhile, he would finely respond when given an invitation in the future. On the 24th August 2012, it was reported that the government of the countryhad began the procedures to give his Albanian citizenship by the ending part of the year, 2012, so as to be able to take part in the FIFA World Cup 2014 qualifiers. Kukeli played his first game for his country in the match that was played against Cyprus on the 7th September, 2012. The match finished 3-1 in favor of Albania and he played for complete 90 minutes.
