The zuffolo is a French fipple flute. The musical instrument was first described in the 14th century. It had thumb hole, two front finger holes and a conical bar. The musical instrument has a range of over two octaves.
In Sicily, the musical instrument means a greater flute that has a broader mouthpiece and 6 finger holes.
