NEVEL: Israel musical instrument

The nevel was a stringed musical instrument that is in use by the ancient people of Hebrew. The Greeks call the musical instrument nobla. Much speculation has been put forward on the real nature of the musical instrument, but it was perhaps not a standardized musical instrument. Most held the instrument to be a form of harp or psaltery. The King James Version of the bible renders the term into English as viol or psaltery and the Book of Common Prayers identifies the musical instrument as a lute. The name of the instrument, nevel means harp in the contemporary Hebrew.
