Though
Kuwait’s status for being the core influence for the music in the GCC stands, a
lot of the local artists is still fighting to get their music heard in the
public area; a place where live shows and western music (rock in particular)
are frowned upon. The indigenous bands that perform and play the rock music
tend to be suspended because of a general cultural dislike towards the genre,
shows and live concerts getting cancelled because of some of the reaction seen
towards rock music events.
