Pop Music of Denmark

As it is the rock music, the Danish pop scene has begun to gain from the music export Denmark initiative.

·         Thomas Helmig is one of the most famous Danish pop artists who have won the awards at the Danish music Awards (DMA) for eight times.

·         Tina Disco is a Danish singer-songwriter who has won many prices, which include the Danish music awards in 2004 and 2006. The most renowned songs are Welcome Back Colour, Count to Ten, Copenhagen, Warm Sand, Nobody’s Man, Sacre Coeur, Open Wide, On the Run and latest of her song is the Moon to Let. She has also been famous in United Kingdom after been part of the band Zero 7 back in 2003 with who she is also made the popular song Home. Tina is also known for her own records label which is called Finest Gramophone.

·         Medina is a singer who is currently one of the most successful artists in Denmark and she is also known in most the European countries like US and Mexico, she sings both in Danish and English.

·         Oh Land is Danish singer-songwriter that has a great success in Europe and the US. She had her TV debut on the late concert with David Letterman with her song Son of a Gun in 2010. She has travelled around the US with stars such as Katy Perry in 2011.

·         Aura is another successful composer who in 2010 reached the top of the charts in Germany and was doing well in the rest of the world.

·         Infernal is a famous group that has success in Europe with a composer Lina Rafn and Paw Lagermann, their most successful album have been from Paris to Berlin and Ten Miles.
