The French heavy metal bands includes Gojira, Anorexia Nervosa, Dagoba, Eths, Hacride, Loudblast, Kronos, Carcaiass, Massacra, Benighted and Yykoon, several of these bands play in the death metal and thrash metal patterns. France also has a large black metal movement, including Deathspell Omega, Blut Aus Nord, Belenos, Peste Noire, Vorkreist, Arkhon Infaustus, Merrimack and Antaeus and the organization called Les Legions Noires comprises bands as Mutiilation, Vlad Tepes and Torgeist. The shoegaze black metal movement also has many bands living from France like Les Discret, Alcest and Amesoeurs.
