Electronic
music motivated by some of the most important musicians of the genre John cage,
David Tudor, Gordon Mumma, Karlheinz Stockhausen and Iannis Xenakis who
performed in Shiraz Arts Festival, but after the Iranian Revolution in the year
1979, faced dark future like most of the genres. Many of the expatriate
Iranians in the North American and Europe are involved in electronic music; the
best known orchestra is the Washington D.C based Deep Dish, which comprises of
Ali Dubfire and Shahram.
Some
of the renowned personalities include DJ Aligator from Denmark, Deep Dish (Ali
Dubfire Shirazi and Shahram Tayebi) Washington DC, USA, Arsi Nami, Los Angeles,
USA, Omid 16b (Omid Nourizadeh) London, UK and Masoud (DJ) Iran.
