The modern folk (which is now the novokomponovana narodna muzika (also newcomposed music) for a time, while the term went out to use in the favour of simply narodna or folk), this is based on the different influences, the Sevdah stories with music of Serbia and the Turkish which is often combined elements of pop music. During that period of former Yusoslavia, the genre was developed jointly in the Bosnia and Serbia, and the performers of the both sides of today’s borders still enjoy the certain popularity on the other way.
