The kissanje is believed to be one of the oldest musical instrument. Because of the portable size of the musical instrument, it can be carried along during long journeys to keep the player and those around away from a state of being lonely and keep their heart warm using familiar sounds. This musical instrument is usually produced by simply fixing blades in a plank of wood and can be played with the use of a thumb.
