Luís Fernando Veríssimo is the son of the Brazilian writer Erico Verissimo and he resided in the United States with the father in his childhood days.
Luís Fernando Veríssimo is a great fan of jazz music and plays the musical instrument called Saxophone in a band of the country called Jazz 6. Like many other intellectuals of the country, he enjoys the culture of the city of Rio de Janeiro. He is a critic of right-wing politicians of the country especially the former president of the country called Fernando Henrique Cardoso.
He is also a lover of football and a supporter of the club in the country called Sport Club internacional. He has written several books on the passion he has on the sports.
