Bernardo Verbitsky was a screenwriter, a journalist from. He was also a member of the Academia Porteña del
Lunfardo. He reported the ups and downs of Buenos Aires and his writings were
associated to the tango and other crucial parts of the city of Buenos Aires.
His novel called Villa MiseriatambiénesAmérica,wtitten in the year 1957
gave its name to the Argentine’s shanty towns
Bernardo Verbitsky died in Buenos Aires on the 15th March
1979.
