Arturo Martín Jauretche was born on the 12th November 1901 in
Lincoln, Buenos Aires; he died on the 25th May 1974. He was an
argentine writer, politician and a philosopher.

Early Year
Arturo Martín Jauretche spent his childhood and adolescence in the city
of Lincoln before relocating to the city of Buenos Aires. He was influenced by
the poet called HomeroManzi, who is also a tango lyricist.
In the year 1928, Arturo Martín Jauretche was selected to the civil service.
He joined the army struggle against the coup that unseated the civil regime of Yrigoyen.he
participated in the failed uprising that was let by Colonels Francisco Bosch
and Gregorio Pomar in the year 1933.
Arturo Martín Jauretche was sent to the prison for the part he played in
the uprising. While he was in the prison, he wrote the poetic account of the
episode in gauchesque pattern and he gave the name of the work to be Paso de los Libres. The work was published in the
year 1934, with the prologue of the work done by Jorge Luis Borge.
