Arturo Andrés Roig

Arturo Andrés Roig was born on the 16^th July 1922; he died on the 30^th April 2012. He was an argentine philosopher and a writer.

Born in Mendoza, he got into the Universidad Nacional de Cuyo and finished in the year 1949 with a degree in Education Sciences. He continued his studies at the Sorbone.

Arturo Andrés Roig got back to his country, Argentina and in the year 1955, he started teaching philosophy at the Universidad Nacional de Cuiyo with specific interest in the local philosophers of the country. The interest later expanded to the national philosophers and then Latin American philosophers. He authored his debut book on the pantheist thinker’s influence in the country.

He is known for being one of the best developed examples in the Latin American philosophy and for his numerous amount of scientific works that gained him many awards and recognitions in the country and beyond.
