LuísMamonaJoão with the nickname Lama was born on the 1st February 1981 in Luanda. He is an Angolan international football player who is currently playing the role of a goalkeeper for the club, Petro Luanda in the Girabola.

He started his senior team career with the club Petro Luanda in the year 1999 after passing through the junior team of the club. Since the year 1999, he has made the total of 305 appearances for the club and conceded 246 goals on the goal of the club.
Lama is a member of the Angolan national team and was among the national team of the country that played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup. He was part of the Angolan national team that played in the 2008 African Cup of Nations in Ghana. LuísMamonaJoão has since his debut in the year 2004 played the total of 45 matches for the national team of the country.
