Lázaro Fonseca Costa Oliveira simply known with the name Lázaro was born
on the 27th August 1967. He is a retired footballer and manager from
Angola. He played the role of a midfielder for the national team of the country
and currently he is a manager.

Football Career
Lázaro spent his entire playing career in Portugal. He started his professional
football with the club G.D Estoril Praia in the 2nd division. Lázaro
scored 11 goals for the club in the first two seasons he had with the club and
then finished in the promotion to the top level football of the country.
In the year 1994, Lázaro signed a deal with Louletano, where he played
the total of 31 games for the club with the total of 9 goals for the club in a
season with them.
From the year 1995 to the year 1997, Lázaro played the total of 64 games
for the club, Panafiel and scored 10 goals for the club. He left the club in
the summer of the year 1997 to Estrela Amadora where he played till the year
2004. Lázaro played the 166 games for the club with the total of 8 goals to his
name.
Lázaro was member of the Angolan national team from the year 1996 to the
year 1999.
Managerial Career
Immediately after he retired from playing football actively, Lázaro took
up the coaching career. He spent 4 years as an assistant coach at Estrela,
always in the major category. Early in the 2008/09 season, he substituted
LitoVidigal as the head coach of the club and led the club to safety, but was
relegated because of financial problems.
