Football Career
Luís Manuel Ferreira Delgado started his professional football career
with the club, Petro Atletico, later he joined Primeiro de Agosto, the best two
football clubs in the Angolan championship Girabola. After a good performance
in the 2006 FIFA World Cup with the country, he made a move to the French side,
FC Metz. As a result of the promotion gained by the club to the Ligue 1,
Delgado became the first man from his country to play for a team in the top
flight of the French football. He played the total of 35 matches for FC Metz
from the year 2006 to the year 2009.
In the summer of the year 2009, he left Metz to En Avant de Guingamp on a
free move. He played a season with the club, making 7 appearances for the club.
Luís Manuel Ferreira Delgado played his first match for the Angolan
national team in the year 1998. Since his debut, Delgado played the total of 20
matches for the country. He was among the national team of the country that
played in the 2006 FIFA World Cup qualification and was among the team that played
in the tournament.
