Christian Basso was born on the 27th September 1966. He is an
argentine musician known both as a multi-instrumentalist and as a composer.
Christian Basso has created music pieces for the theatre, dance,
installation, TV and movies. One of his most recent creations in the music for
the Korean feature called Secret Sunshine by renowned filmmaker called Lee
Chang-dong, a movie that was given the Best Actress Award in Cannes in the year
2007.

The music of Christian Basso is consisted of the tango music of the
country, the Italian jazz music and the folklore of the country, Argentina with
the classical and traditional features of music composers of the country.
All through his 22 years career as a musician, Christian Basso became
popular in the local scene of the country as a bassist and a musician of
different project next to artist like Charly Garcia,
Gustavo
Cerati,
Richard
Coleman,
Andrés
Calamaro,
Daniel
Melingo,
Javier
Malosetti, Maria Gabriela Epumer and mainly with the group called La Portuaria. Christian Basso was the mastermind and a co-founder
of the group together with Diego Frenkel. The group became crucial in the
renewal of the music scene of the 90s in the country for it consisted of
sounds, rhythms and musical instruments features of the world music with rock.
As a solo musician, Christian Basso edited Profania and La Penthalpha.
The two projects features soprano Eva Faludi, an American
singer called KalCahoone and the music arranger called Alejandro Teran.
